Why life is never simple!

nothing like love to make things seem better. it's one of those things that can have you on the highest high one day and your lowest low the next. TOP of my list for things to do this week is to finally see my woman after what seems to be an eternity apart and also get back to becoming a good CAT once more. hopefully, the love of my life will put up with me for the time it takes for things to become simplified.

hopefully this post isn't too vomit inducing. if it is then i don't really give a sh!t. i've managed to find someone special after months if not years of being unlucky and just plain stupid in love and i want to broadcast that (even if i'm not really meant to).

well, its December the 8th. Widely broadcast to be doomsday for the clan formerly known as UsR. I am happy to announce that, while the sky is somewhat grey with snow, the outlook is bright and sunny.

Reports have been coming into the GBH newsdesk all morning regarding the apparent lack of activity on the frontlines. General Jason, who sadly was K.I.A just 24 hours ago, left a legacy of fight and spirit amongst the troops which remains steadfast despite the threat of onslaught by mighty beast that is Such Retarded To$$er .

Philosophical Question Time

For years people have discussed the ultimate questions in search of impossible answers... for example "What is the meaning of life?" "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" "Why was Steve McLaren made England coach?".

Earlier today i was enlightened by a vision of laggness, our very own UsR Yoda delivered what must be now considered to be THE question, THE question to which there are so many alternative meanings and, unfortunately, only one real answer...

UsR Blog Up and Running!

Finally Jason has found the time to start UsR's very own blog which will serve as the Clan's front page from now on. A tad controversial but funny as hell, the new blog aims to bring life back into XBL gaming and spread the gospel according to UsR! Yes... you heard right... UsR IS a cult! (mass suicide date to coincide with SRT's total destruction of UsR on the 8th December 2007)

Not how i see it...

well... for the observant amongst you... you may have noticed three little letters at the start of my gamertag have changed. Have no fear... the level of stick i've been getting online from GBH and everyone else has been very impressive. Basically over the last few weeks i've been playing more and more PGR4, progessing further and further up the leaderboards. This has re-ignited my passion for racing and has triggered the desire for competition as well as fun. With the permission of Iceman and Viper i will continue this blog (the GBH blog is even famous now... we're featured on a certain clan website lol).
Three letters may have changed on my gamertag but the gamer behind the name is still the same - afterall, UsR has always been the clan we get on with!!!

Joystiq got their greasy manhooks on some interesting market data from NPD. Savvy Xbox 360 fans know that the Xbox 360 sells quite a few games, but according to this data, the Xbox 360 sells nearly twice as many games per console as the PS3 and Wii. On average, there are nearly seven games sold per Xbox 360, compared to between three and four sold for every PS3 or Wii. Take a look at this delicious data.

Xbox 360: hardware to software ratio: 6.59 (hardware total sold = 6.8 million; software total sold = 44.8 million)
PlayStation 3: hardware to software ratio: 3.58 (hardware total sold = 1.9 million; software total sold = 6.8 million)
Wii: hardware to software ratio: 3.44 (hardware total sold = 4.5 million; software total sold = 15.5 million)

Those numbers are bound to make current publishers happy, and serve as an attractive incentive to prospective publishers. It makes sense to publish your game for an audience that's more likely to buy it, you see. With the Wii finally getting Mario Galaxy (arguably its next killer app) and the PS3 finally approaching a market-friendly price this holiday, we're eager to see where the 360 sits at the end of the year.
